GL3抗体识别小鼠T细胞受体γ/δ （TCRγ/δ或TCR gamma/delta）的δ链，δ链是 TCR 的一种亚型，参与肽和脂质抗原的识别。TCRγ/δ是由二硫键连接的γ和δ亚基组成的异二聚体（在人体内约为 80 kDa），与细胞表面的 CD3 结合。它是免疫球蛋白超家族的成员。TCRγ/δ在循环中的T细胞亚群中表达，但在富含上皮细胞的组织中，多达50%的T细胞上都可发现TCRγ/δ。这些细胞在口腔和肿瘤相关耐受以及自身免疫性疾病中发挥作用，并被描述为适应性和先天免疫反应之间的纽带。一旦被激活，它们以亚型和环境特异性的方式分泌效应细胞因子。大多数γ/δ T 细胞是 CD4-/CD8-，但也有一些表达 CD8。GL3 抗体可识别δ链恒定区的表位，据报道可激活 TCRγ/δ+ 细胞。
