血管内皮生长因子
血管内皮生长因子 (VEGF-165) 是一种参与胚胎血管生成和血管生成 (angiography, angiogeneration) 的肝素结合同型二聚体糖蛋白。VEGF 与 VEGFR-1 (R1) 和 VEGFR-2 (R2) 结合,并激活 Raf/MEK/ERK 和 PI3K/AKT 通路 (Ferrara et al.)。它在体内和体外神经发生中均发挥重要作用 (Storkebaum et al.)。它对中枢神经系统的神经元具有神经营养作用,并促进多巴胺能神经元和星形胶质细胞的生长和存活。VEGF 还促进血管内皮细胞的生长和存活、单核细胞趋化以及粒细胞-巨噬细胞祖细胞的集落形成 (Ferrara et al.)。

(A) The biological activity of Human Recombinant VEGF-165 was tested by its ability to promote the proliferation of HUVECs. Cell proliferation was measured using a fluorometric assay method. The EC50 is defined as the effective concentration of the growth factor at which cell proliferation is at 50% of maximum. The EC50 in the above example is 1.7 ng/mL. (B) 4 μg of Human Recombinant VEGF-165 was resolved with SDS-PAGE under reducing (+) and non-reducing (-) conditions and visualized by Coomassie Blue staining. Human Recombinant VEGF-165 has a predicted molecular mass of 38.2 kDa by non-reducing SDS-PAGE.
