在不使用基质嵌入的情况下，培养模式化大脑类器官长时间（>50天）。STEMdiff™ 神经类器官维持培养试剂盒包含防止类器官融合的必要成分，并能保持高产量的可重复类器官。该无血清细胞培养基专为神经类器官的维持和成熟设计，基于Sergiu Paşca的研究方案（F Birey et al. Nature, 2017）。当与STEMdiff™ 背侧或腹侧前脑类器官分化试剂盒（产品号 #08620和#08630）配合使用时，STEMdiff™ 神经类器官维持试剂盒可支持神经退行性研究、标志物发现和毒性试验的长期类器官实验。这些大脑区域特异性的类器官具有代表性的人类前脑发育的细胞组成和结构组织。使用这些试剂盒生成的类器官也可以作为组装体（assembloids）共同培养，以研究大脑区域间的相互作用（F Birey et al. Nature, 2017）。
