核因子kappa-Β配体受体激活剂（RANKL）是肿瘤坏死因子（TNF）超家族的成员之一（Anderson等）。TNF超家族中的细胞因子广泛参与多种长期细胞活动，如细胞分化、增殖和细胞死亡（MacEwan）。RANKL是一种II型同型三聚体跨膜蛋白，能够在膜结合和分泌形式中表达（Ikeda等）。RANKL与核因子kappa-Β受体激活因子（RANK）结合。一旦与其受体结合后，可激活AKT信号通路（Moon等）。骨保护素（OPG）也可与RANKL结合，这种结合与RANKL-RANK结合相互竞争（Lacey等）。RANKL参与破骨细胞生成(Lacey等；Yasuda等)和T细胞活化（Wong等）。本产品不含动物源成分。
