JC-1是一种亲脂性阳离子碳菁染料。这种染料可以可逆地改变其荧光,这取决于其单体和聚合形式之间的平衡。JC-1以单体形式存在于极化线粒体中,激发后发出最大发射波长为530 nm的绿色荧光。在较高浓度下,由于线粒体膜电位高,j聚集体形成并发出最大发射波长为590 nm的绿橙色荧光。JC-1既可以定性地测量荧光发射的位移,也可以定量地检测FL1通道(FITC)和FL2通道(PE)中荧光强度的差异。
