RANTES(regulated upon activation, normal T cell expressed and secreted的缩写),也称为CCL5,是CC趋化因子家族的一员,能够将白细胞募集到炎症部位(Schall et al.)。RANTES由多种细胞分泌,包括T淋巴细胞、巨噬细胞、血小板、滑膜成纤维细胞、肾小管上皮和某些类型的肿瘤细胞(Aldinucci & Colombatti; Soria & Ben-Baruch)。该趋化因子通过与其受体CCR1、CCR3、CCR4和CCR5相互作用发挥作用。RANTES募集多种白细胞进入炎症部位,包括T细胞、巨噬细胞、嗜酸性粒细胞和嗜碱性粒细胞。RANTES还与T细胞分泌的某些细胞因子(如IL-2和IFN-γ)协同作用,诱导NK细胞的激活和增殖,生成高度细胞毒性的CC趋化因子激活的杀伤细胞(Lv et al.; Maghazachi et al.)。研究表明,CD8+ T细胞产生的RANTES可抑制 HIV 在人外周血单个核细胞中的感染(Appay & Rowland-Jones; Cocchi et al.)。

(A) The biological activity of Human Recombinant RANTES (CCL5) was tested by its ability to induce chemotaxis of THP-1 cells. Cell migration was measured after 45 min using a fluorometric assay method. Increase in migration over basal level was seen starting at 10 ng/mL. (B) 1 μg of Human Recombinant RANTES (CCL5) was resolved with SDS-PAGE under reducing (+) and non-reducing (-) conditions and visualized by Coomassie Blue staining. Human Recombinant RANTES (CCL5) has a predicted molecular mass of 7.9 kDa.
