6D5抗体靶向CD19，这是一种约95kDa的I型跨膜糖蛋白，在B细胞发育各阶段（从前B细胞到浆细胞）均有表面表达。在终末分化的浆细胞中，CD19表达下调但仍持续存在。该蛋白也表达于滤泡树突状细胞。CD19通过与CD21和CD81结合，作为B细胞受体(BCR)的共受体参与B细胞活化与分化。CD19激活时其胞内结构域会发生磷酸化，从而促进与激酶的结合并诱导细胞内信号级联反应。CD19突变可导致严重免疫缺陷综合征。通过交叉竞争实验证实，克隆6D5与克隆ID3识别相同的表位。

该抗体克隆已验证可用于EasySep™分选试剂盒分离细胞的纯度检测，包括 EasySep™ 小鼠B细胞分选试剂盒（产品号 #19854）。
