The most abundant type of collagen in the human body, type I collagen is a natural extracellular matrix protein that provides structural support and mimics physiological conditions, making it an ideal cultureware coating surface to support cell attachment in 2D applications.
CellAdhere™ Type I Collagen, Human, Lyophilized is prepared from an extracellular matrix secreted by normal human fibroblasts and is xeno-free. This sterility-tested product is purified using a highly controlled manufacturing process with validated steps to ensure the inactivation of possible viral contaminants. Endotoxin levels are 5.0 EU/mL or less, as assayed by Limulus amoebocyte lysate (LAL) assay. The optimal protein concentration may vary depending on the cell type being used, and therefore should be titrated for best results.
